Manganese Bronze today gave 12 months notice. It has cancelled agreements with all independant dealers. The end is nigh. http://www.manganese.com/pr/311 |

to the best of my knowledge and experience it is highly unlikely that any business which uses suppliers credit facilities to declare in a year they are going under.... in fact NIL notice is the norm something else is going on |

Quote: We are extremely grateful to the independent main dealers for their support in the past, and hope they will consider becoming service dealers in the future
What's the difference

Maybe the only way to buy will be through 1 dealer (london) Gawd knows, but I definately dont subscribe to the "end is nigh" opinion. |

I don't really know enough to have an informed opinion, but, my uninformed opinion would be that of 'lets put pressure on the government and scare them into a cash injection opinion'. Also there is the money to be saved by not having to pay out as much in commission etc, if buyers are to buy direct if they cut out the middle man they can offer better deals and therefore make more sales |

I've often wondered why the likes of Lti don't produce a purpose built saloon taxi with swivel seats and all the other paraphernalia that goes into the Hc |

But what came first? The decline in LTI pushing dealers elsewhere, or dealers going elsewhere leading to the decline in LTI?

CC Many dealers sell more than one manufacturers vehicles. We have a dealer that sells both Ford and Kia cars from the same premises and another that sells Land Rover and Volvo from the same premises. Oh and another that sells Renault and Suzuki from the same premises. |
