Four Drivers Lose Licence

Tuesday, July 28, 2009

Four taxi drivers have lost their hackney carriage and private hire licenses and three more have been suspended after breaching strict regulations.

Stoke-on-Trent City Council's licensing and registration panel took the disciplinary action against the drivers earlier this month.

Minutes for the private hearings on July 2 and 7 show that one of the drivers had been convicted of plying for hire and driving without the proper insurance, as well as having previous driving convictions and 11 points on their driving licence.

Two of the said drivers had their licences revoked following criminal convictions for drink driving, while the fourth was penalised for failing to inform the council about a recent conviction for plying for hire.

The three suspensions involved allegations of showing disregard to authorities and plying for hire.

Indeed, and most welcomed it is.

As for Mr T, he would love to be able to last a lot longer than his vast age permits.

You're quite correct... gone are the days and days and days of fun... now I just have to settle for two hours in the morning and two hours at night.... it's just not the same... But I must admit I am glad I am not an expert regarding pi$$ing on slippers.
