EMPLOYEES at Mansfield taxi firm 6Five2's prepare to enjoy a seaside trip to Skegness with 200 local children and parents.
The trip was arranged by the firm to give youngsters unable to take a trip away this summer a taste of the seaside air, along with free fish and chips, ice cream and a donkey ride – all paid for by drivers and staff at the taxi company.
Around 40 cars and minibuses embarked on the trip, which left on Wednesday from Mansfield Superbowl, where the youngsters were given a free game before their journey.
All the children taking part were put forward by Mansfield Woodhouse's Robin Hood School, Surestart and the Mansfield District Council homeless section.
This is the company that are breaking every law in the licensing book, they use cars licensed in other districts to do their work in Mansfield.
They've got a councillor working for them who's a councillor with Mansfield District Council on the licensing panel, he's badged over the border in Ashfield but he's working in Mansfield for the above named company doing Mansfield to Mansfield work. I've challenged him a few times regarding a conflict of interest with his Council work and him working and breaking the law with the above named company.
At least the Kids got a day out..
