Pest Cabbie's 150 Texts In A Day

A perv cabbie bombarded an appalled female colleague with 150 sleazy texts a day - including a picture of his genitals.

Fred Beeby, 21, spent more than a year harassing the woman with sordid messages while working alongside her at two different firms in Perth.

Fiscal depute Charmaine Cole told the town's sheriff court: "He repeatedly sent text messages to her. In one he wrote 'Send me a picture of your boobs please'.

"In one day she received 150 text messages within 24 hours. She was concerned." Miss Cole said the victim eventually called in cops after she repeatedly asked seedy Beeby to stop.

Billy Watt, defending, said: "He felt there was some flirtation.

"He realises he may have misunderstood the situation."

Beeby, of Raploch, Stirling, admitted sending the offensive texts between January 2008 and February this year.

Beeby, who is in a long-term relationship, was banned from contacting his victim and ordered to be of good behaviour for 12 months.

Sheriff William Gilchrist said: "It was a form of harassment."
