Buttershaw family appeal to "taxi" driver A mother is appealing for a taxi driver to come forward, after he drove off with her daughter’s graduation presents. The cabbie drove away with black bin bags containing cards, photographs and gifts, in his boot after dropping the student off at Cooper Lane, Buttershaw, Bradford. The private hire driver had picked up the student – who does not want to be identified – her sister and a friend from the Paradise Farm bar in Clayton at 12.45am last Saturday after her graduation party. Her mother said: “They had two big black binliners containing about 70 graduation and birthday cards with money in. We think there was a substantial amount of cash, anything from £300 to £500, as well as bottles of champagne, a silver watch, precious graduation photos and a guest book which everybody had signed. “The taxi driver put the bags in the boot but when he dropped the girls off he drove away with the bags still in the boot. “We have been trying to trace the driver but we are not sure which company he was from. All we know is it was a dark blue Vauxhall and the driver was an Asian man in his 30s. “It is heartbreaking and has ruined a really good celebration. My daughter is devastated.” If anyone knows who the taxi driver might be they are asked to contact 07976 545818. |

Illegal plying I guess, and trying to find this asian driver in Bradford could be a tad tricky

I could not live with myself to be honest, anything that get's left in my car if it's there then they get it back and I have had everything from wallets to false teeth. The only time i told a little lie was when after dropping someone off at home with a load of shopping from the ASDA I got a message asking to see if there was a loaf of bread left in my boot when I was about 8 miles away after doing another job. The answer I gave to operator was a definate NO as there was no chance I was going back for a loaf. My kids were made up though as they got a piece of bread each that night. |

Quote: My kids were made up though as they got a piece of bread each that night. FFS how many kids have you got there is on average 16 slices in a loaf 18 if you count the crusts

Oh!... and your bakers diddling you Skip....I just checked and ive got 24 slices including crusts in my loaf ( dear god I must get a life) |
