Man faces court after taxi driver ‘abducted’

A MAN has appeared in court charged with attacking and abducting a woman taxi driver in Peterhead.

Artur Rodzevic, 20, was alleged to have held a knife against taxi driver Nicola Donald’s neck, seized her by the hair, pushed her on the body and repeatedly punched her on the head and detained her against her will.

The attack was thought to have happened between noon and 1pm on Monday at West Thunderton, Peterhead.

Rodzevic, who was listed in court papers as living at an address in Peterhead appeared in private at Peterhead Sheriff Court. He made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody.
