It has been brought to our attention that Mansfield Council have offered Stagecoach drivers £170 to work Christmas Eve and New years eve, we have also leaned that the buses are going to be free on Christmas eve and New years eve, also they are going to be every half hour instead of every hour. It has also been bought to our attention that the amount of money the Council gives Stagecoach each week is a joke. They pay for everything, drivers wages, bus loaders wages, fuel etc etc. When these buses first started the Council said "we are not giving Stagecoach any money to run the service". We leaned also that if Stagecoach were running the service off their own backs it would have been pulled weeks ago because it's making a massive loss each weekend. |
