just arrived at our office. I thought it would be a simple to fill piece of paper, seeing as it's the individual company's that are doing the regulating, how wrong was I It runs to double figures AND they want a floor plan of the premises being used as an office, no problem, it's a square room in a business park, WTF did they expect a taxi office to look like? As for the rest, I'll get back to you in a week or so when I've taken it all in.

I have checked with some of the owners who have 3 or more cabs here, and they dont know a thing about this

Is there anything in the application regarding larger company's who dont have an office but work from car to car???

Below is a letter i got from a Dundee council solicitor i had asked him if someone standing with a clip board in the street would breach the new licence conditions.

My view is that the new rules only apply to "premises" and the street would not fall within this definition. Accordingly, if the bookings are being taken in the street they would not be an activity requiring a licence. Also, the mandatory requirement to keep records of the bookings only applies to bookings taken at the licensed premises. It does not appear to say that bookings can only be taken at the licensed premises. However, maybe this is something we need to look at when drawing up the final list of local conditions which is being discussed at the Taxi Liaison Group in December.

when 203020 were first questioned about working from the compound beside fat sams didn,t they reply the bookings were made inside fat sams(premises) ?this reads like 203020 have a loophole lined up for them even befpre the license is in place,the scottish parliment have spent a lot of time putting this together ,any council that cant be bothered enforcing the conditions should be reported accordingly
