A Taxi firm has criticised a major new road opened last week.

The one-mile stretch of road is part of the Mansfield and Ashfield Regeneration Route, which was opened six weeks ahead of schedule.

But tailbacks are being caused due to a bottleneck at the new junction with the A6075 at Beck Lane.

Alan Read, managing director of Crusader 2000 Taxis, said the delays were costing the firm time and money.

The road is part of a £30m project linking Pleasley and Rainworth intended to ease traffic and help create jobs in the area.
