Connect Point UK

Statement dated 2nd November 2009

It is with gravest regret and sincere apologies that Connect Point UK finds itself in a position whereby it will be unable to trade solvently and as such has ceased trading with immediate effect.

A number of forces have placed us in this position including immense competitor pressure which forced us into reducing our prices and terms/conditions combined with unending pressure from suppliers whose demands where for payment well ahead of those we were experiencing from our clients.

As anyone in business is aware, cash flow is king and when your personal sources have dried up there is nowhere else to go to meet the void created by late or delayed incoming payments and the need to make outgoing payments. Once again this is the trap we find ourselves in.
Our management team has attempted this afternoon to provide a short term solution to clients who will provide them with continuity through non-related sources; this short term solution is in no way connected to Connect Point UK.

In order to safeguard the current financial position of the company and to prevent incurring any more supplier costs we have take the decision that it would be in no ones interest to continue and incur these additional costs. This also means that no further supplier payments will be made pending any future appointment.

Outstanding amounts owed to Connect Point UK will be pursued in line with agreed terms with clients and we expect these to be settled in full as the services were legitimately delivered in full.

The company will therefore cease trading with immediate effect and focus on collecting outstanding amounts due in order to endeavor to meet its creditor’s demands.

A skeleton level of staffing will voluntarily remain to see through the final requirements; however it is unlikely that they will be in a position to deal with creditors calls, a further communication will be made to creditors once we are in a position to do so.

Kevin Dean
Managing Director
Connect Point UK

Is this the new firm or the old firm packing up?

And if it's the former how many mugs signed up and got re-shafted? :?
