Post subject:  Vivaro seatbelts / sliding doors

I have an 07 plated vivaro and have been fighting with vauxhall to pay the cost of two middle seat belts that i have had to replace after being stopped by vosa for damage to the webbing. This was caused by what i believe to be a design fault as the buckle dangles free and is long enough to hang out of the sliding door when slammed. This consequently has led to doors not shutting properly.
Also i jave on numerous occasions had the sliding door come flying off when customers open them on a hill. and the interior lights come on and off whilst driving.
All of these points have been raised and i think are obviously connected, but not so according to vauxhall who keep fobbing me off.
I am hoping to see if, like vauxhall say that i am the only one complaining about the design.
I already know of one other person who has had new belts fitted as well as bodywork done on the doors due to damage for the same problem. when i attempted to contact the district manager to find out why there was one rule for one and anouther for me, he stopped taking my calls.

manufacturers will never admit to or rectify problems like that I used to have a vito both keys snapped off in the ignition barrel within 3 months an obviously faulty design all i got was a replacement barrell and when the central locking packed up after 6 months nothing i ran the vehicle for 5 years without any means of locking the doors ! No amount of letter writing etc got the vehicle sorted out

In taxi use seatbelts do wear out quite quickly I usually have to replace them every 2 to 3 years so there is the heavy wear and tear argument that vauxhall could use

I suspect there are many with similar problems.

Why not register on a Vauxhall forum, there must be one and the lads on there will be able to tell you how common a problem it is?
