Arrest after dead woman was found injured at Leicester community centre

A woman has died after being found with serious injuries at a community centre.
Police cordoned off the area around Manor House Neighbourhood Centre, in the West End of Leicester, after being called at 6pm on Monday. Officers are treating the death as suspicious.
The discovery came hours after the body of Rhonda Campbell was found in her Melton home, in a separate incident.
Police investigating that case have launched a murder inquiry.
Officers would not say whether the woman found at the community centre, off Haddenham Road, off the Narborough Road, was injured inside or outside the venue.
They confirmed the woman died at Leicester Royal Infirmary a short time later.
A 52-year-old man arrested in connection with the incident remained in police custody last night.
Two police cars and a scientific support team were outside the centre yesterday evening, while officers made house-to-house inquiries.
Chris Hewitt, 30, who lives in Haddenham Road, said: "I couldn't believe it when I saw all the police cars and then a police officer knocked on the door to say what had happened.
"He said he'd been speaking to residents and wanted to stop people worrying.
"It's horrible to think something like this has happened here."
Another resident of Haddenham Road, who did not want to be named, said: "It's so shocking. I can't believe it."
A police spokesman said: "Officers can confirm the death is being treated as suspicious.
"Police would like to thank residents in the area for their co-operation."
Meanwhile, tributes have been paid in Melton to Rhonda Campbell, a taxi driver who had three daughters.
The 38-year-old was found dead in her home, in Ash Grove, by police, who broke in after the alarm was raised.
It is understood Mrs Campbell, who has been named locally but not yet formally identified by police, was found in an upstairs room.
Mrs Campbell drove children from Rutland to Birch Wood Special School, in Melton.
Head teacher Kate Ball said: "She did the school run and had done so for some years. It's tragic and she will be missed."
Mrs Campbell had worked for Manor Taxis for about 15 years.
Fran Gilbert, from the firm, said: "I've known her since she was about 14 and I've watched her, her children and her grandchildren growing up. I'm devastated. It's a big loss, personally and for the firm."
Mark Eldredge, a driver for Melton's Handy Cars, said: "She was a nice, bubbly girl."
Rob Crofts, who runs Freddy's Cabs, in Melton, said: "She was very friendly and jolly and was a good mother.
"I got on all right with her, as did everyone else in the taxi business in Melton.
"She didn't have a bad word to say about anybody."
A 43-year-old man arrested on Monday evening was still being questioned by police last night.
