Phil Boots, 57, from Cardiff, a taxi driver for 30 years, told the Echo: “This is a great victory for the taxi trade. But everyone has to bear in mind we have had five years of delimitation and the damage is already done and it will take the trade five years to recover.”
And there lies a real problem. Despite these drivers/police etc eventually being able to make enough committee members see sense and vote accordingly...why does it take the patient being almost dead on the operating table before the "person in charge" agrees to try and save them.
That said, every fightback has to start somewhere, so well done to the Cardiff lads and lasses for taking a stand.
On a lighter note...please let Mr Phil Boots middle initials be Y.A.
