Post subject:  The reserve list is illegal - Cllr Ian Murray

I am grateful to Cllr Murray for his support that the Interested Parties List is illegal, and his representations about this to the council.

1. The reserve list is illegal
2. It is against natural justice to allow people to be granted a licence because they have been on an illegal list since 1993.
3. Some applicants at number 34-60 had multiple applications in and many hadbeen tipped off by Administration Councillors that they were minded to grant a few extra licences and, therefore, submitted applications to a reserve list that wasn't supposed to exist, weeks before any decision had been made.
4. How can applications be dealt with "on their individual merits" if the chances of their success is less than zero if they fall below the early 30s on the list.

I feel certain that this will prove invaluable during the forthcoming appeals.

Inadvertently we may just have discovered the first Labour politician with a real conscience.

Oh dear, I do so hate to admit when I may be wrong. But when I am wrong, I have no difficulty doing so.
