Hi all, we are about to submit our application to Glasgow city council.

We are a bit stuck on the floor plans that they are asking for.

Whats the best way to go about this? its a small room within an industrial unit so do we need a floor plan of the full unit or just our office within the unit.

The unit is divided into three diffrent business's including us and has shared toilet and kitchen facilities.

Cheers

When I put ours in I included the floor plan of the building, showing fire exits etc. This was supplied to us by the landlords (the council) of the building when we signed the lease. At a forum meeting months later I was asked to supply a floor plan of the actual office, I replied it's a square shape of approx 153 sq mts will I draw one just now for you. My LO just laughed and said to leave it with him. The licence was granted without it.

I'd send in the main floor plan and await their response. They must have approved it when the estate was built/converted.

The thing is its a industrial unit thats been divided up into smaller offices and we have one of the small offices within.

ours was a bus station. now part offices, part workshops, so I think main plans should suffice. If not, they'll soon tell you.

Give them the floor plan for the whole unit and mark your bit with a highlighter pen.

Attach a note explaining that you only use the marked area(s) and that the kitchen & toilets are shared with the other tenants.
