today the council and police turned up at the rank it seems one of our local drivers had not relicensed her car after it failed its test and was continuing to work 2 days after said plate expired

The council took the plate and the police arrested the driver and impounded the car

the boss of gangstercabs was said to be very upset because the rooflight belonging to him was impounded with the car !

well she will certainly learn her lesson from this they will throw the book at her she isn't in a position to play the racist card and isn't it reassuring that your boss cares more about his property than the people that pay him boardrent !

I hope they do, and hope that a message goes out to all that if you don't renew on time, you are taking one big fat risk with your future livelihood. [-X

If it was an overreaction she would have got her plate back.

I suspect they are drafting the prosecution file now.

Sussex, read it again, the plate had expired so they would not return it.

Why do some councils put an expiry date in plates then issue a new one
Once we have ours we keep them for as long as needed

In the case that we have here having the date on the plate would have alerted drivers to her wrong doings.

All 128 have there own large plate number 1 to 128 so if we had an expiry date the council would have to issue 128 new plates every year
