Heard in the wind, and confirmed somewhat directly from the council. The rock on which the policy of restriction was is founded, and on which it is now floundering, is being put out to grass. Despite word that the reason no response was received from Jim Inch - Corporate Services Dictator - was because he was "no longer there", the official council position is that Inch is going early next year. He hasn't been seconded out, he hasn't been sacked and he is most definitely NOT on "gardening leave". Nope, the official position is that he is retiring "early next year"? So the reason no response was forthcoming was .... what precisely. Methinks there is some skulduggery here. But we await developments with interest. Anyway, this is another sign that things are changing within the council. Moving Millar out, bringing in Donald MacLeod, and Inch being put out to grass. The Winds are whistling. Coupled with the reported disharmony amongst councillors hacked off with the campaign to bring reason, logic and fairness to the taxi service, well watch this space. Perhaps the message is beginning to get through that this war does not end until we say it does.

Actually, the more you bang on your drum to get people to listen the more I feel sorry for you There are so many other things going on in life that you are missing out on. I'm sure your wife and family, and I'm sure they will back you on your endeavours, would be so glad if you gave this crusade a rest. Everyday your typing away on forums or writing to local papers and tbh I wood even think your family is sick of hearing about your latest ideals and arguements Do not just other cabbies but also your family a favour and find something you enjoy that isn't eating away at you like your quest for derestriction. Find a hobby and spend less time in front of the pc and more time focusing on other matters as your health and well being would be vastly improved And no. Im not scared, I don't have a "pretendy business", I don't an vested interest to protect and I have nothing to fear. Get out more and start enjoying life |

THe way finances are at the moment, in local and national government, I would think that taxis are pretty far down their "to do list" So don't hold your breath, pervy jim. |

Had I actually spent any money you'd already have taken the triple pike off the North Bridge. This way it costs me nothing and you get the prolonged agony. I'm having a ball. BTW It's yours numpty

Just look for an old T reg, plate number 1177 and you will see the big scary and world famous Jim "the bawbag"Taylor.
You will usually find him sitting at the Gayfield rank, windows up,to drown out the abuse, reading up on his human rights with tape recorder running but remember if you approach him you will see the following day on here that he told you what for and you feared for your life.
