whats with these numpty lying cabbies who always earn more than other cabbies?i currently have seven known numptys working my rank, all work the same rank the same hours and sit about for the same amount of time but are earning a three figure sum of money more a night, the latest actually trebled my take, ,i can understand lying to a female cutomer trying to impress her but lying to a workmate who can check your job count is beyond me,even worse is the cabbies lying to male customers (1 earns 2000 p/w )i will name this cabby to both stationtone and tx op but they will already know him ,mayem? only for the male customer to then apply for a badge |

Indeed, the rank braggers are a pain, but nothing worse than those who brag to the public about how much they're making, especially when it's grossly exagerrated. |

Bragging to your colleagues is a pain. Bragging to the public is just plain stupid.

Tx i am also considering my future the taxi trade in Dundee is fecked and i think that with out a miracle happening it is only going to get worse The operators and drivers have to take some of the blame because they are letting the council and booking offices walk all over them.
As for malcolm mayhem he has just recently got his badge back and is a persistent liar try telling him a story that is not true and i guarantee he will beat it every time.

Its not worth exagerating earnings to punters...they might get Ideas below their station and take up Taxiing or PH..more opposition.
Tis better to play earnings down...if thats possible!!! |

How does the subject of earnings come up in conversation anyway? I hardly talk about how much I earn to anyone, whether to a colleague, other taxi/PH drivers, friends, family or to the public. It's none of their business! Only people who need to know are the bank and my accountant! If someone asks, I just say business is steady, I'm getting by, or something along those lines. bloodneck is right, best to play your earnings down! |
