Surrey Police quiz taxi driver over cannabis in car 8 September 2010 A taxi driver has been arrested and bailed on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis after his car was stopped by police in Surrey. The 60-year-old, from south London, was found with 60 bags of a green herbal substance in his black taxi. He was stopped by police just before 0200 BST on Tuesday after he drove through a red light in West Byfleet. Officers noticed a strong smell coming from the taxi and discovered the herbal substance in the boot. The man was issued with a fixed penalty notice for the traffic offence. There's nothing worse than the smell of weed when someone has just smoked a joint, I hate the smell of the stuff. IMO the Cabbie wants jailing because it wasn't for personal use, 60 bags of the stuff?? |

toots wrote: Quote: was found with 60 bags of a green herbal substance in his black taxi. How big were the bags ![]() The bags are small enough for 60 of them to fit into the boot of a black cab. Because if they were bigger than that, then 60 of these bags would not have fitted into the boot of his black cab & the arresting police officer would not have found 60 bags, but a quantity of bags which would have been less than 60 all full of Ganja. How many bags that might have been is difficult to say, because it would then have depended on how big the bags of Ganja were, which would have determined how many bags the arresting police officer would then have found. BUT!! Broadly speaking, the bigger the bags of Ganja, the less bags would fit into the boot of a black cab. However, this is always presuming that we are dealing with bags of Ganja that are ALL the same size. If, however, the bags of Ganja are all different in size from one another, we are faced with a different scenario. No longer are we looking at 60 bags!! If the bags of Ganja were that big that only one bag would fit into the boot of a black cab, then presumably the other 59 bags would have been found at his home, allotment, or where ever he grew the weed or stored it. There is also the possibility that the bags of Ganja could have all been that big that not even one bag could have fitted into the boot of a black cab, in which case the cabbie would have left all 60 bags at home or in his allotment & would have just had a ticket for running a red light. Conversely, if the bags of Ganja were minute, then the cabbie could have probably fitted 60,000 minute bags of Ganja into his boot, or even more. You see Ms Toots; size is important!! |

Brings back memories of when my dad used to collect stamps, he used to keep his stamps in them little zip bags, the ones drug dealers use to sell drugs in. He asked me if I'd pick some bags up from Stamp King in Mansfield? Off I went to get some zip bags little did I know that they were used by drug dealers. I came out of Stamp King with the bags in my pocket and started to walk back to the Taxi. Half way there I heard someone shout "here mate I want you a minute". I turned round to see a copper stood there, I waited until he got to me and said, are these yours?? I said sorry mate they must have fell out of my pocket, here's me thinking I was having my ear bashed for dropping litter. The Copper said can I search you for drugs?? I said "you what drugs"? He said yes because these bags are used for selling drugs in. I had to explain that they were for stamps and I'd got them from Stamp King and if he didn't believe me go into the shop and ask the owner because he knows my dad who I've got them for. After some negotiations we went back to the shop, the owner verified who I was and who my dad was, the owner said that the bags were also used by people who collect old coins. The Copper apologised and after a laugh we went on our way |

Quote: little zip bags
Hence my question about how big the bags were. 60 small bags won't hold the same as 60 larger bags. He could have had them for personal use
