'Private' documents containing criminal convictions of local taxi drivers have been mistakenly publicised on East Lothian Council's website. An oversight by the local authority led to the names, addresses, telephone numbers, dates of birth, driving licence numbers and, in some cases, criminal convictions of a dozen cab drivers being leaked onto the internet. The papers, due to be scrutinised in private at a Licensing Sub Committee meeting, also contain notifications of complaints made against taxi drivers, complete with complainants' names and addresses.
