The long waited report is finally out

Note there was no taxi representaion on the task group & only 4 of the 72 respondants to the review were from private hire associations. Very few drivers knew of the consultation but maybe this suited the authorities ?

As I said the other day, it made a good job of sweeping the corporate licenses etc under the carpet, and instead proposes legalising transfers.

Perhaps that's why it was published just before Xmas - a good time to bury a cover up :lol:

PS Don't be fooled by the November date on the contents page, it was published a few days before Xmas.

"we are pleased to note that, in responding to the OFT Report, Scottish Ministers indicated that they would be setting up a Focus Group to consider the issues which licensing authorities should be taking into account in this regard with a view to issuing guidance to address such concerns. We hope that this will be taken forward quickly."
