Celtic star Anthony Stokes grabbed a cab home from the players' Christmas bash - from LONDON to Scotland.
The striker was exhausted after the party at London's trendy Jet Black after-hours club with his teammates on Saturday.
The Celtic squad had opted to travel down south for their festive knees-up and headed to the nightspot in the city's West End.
But rather than wait to travel home with the rest of the boys, Stokes hailed a black cab and told the stunned driver: "Take me to Scotland."
Stokes, 22, then relaxed in the taxi as the lucky driver began the 374-mile drive to the Irish star's five-bedroom home in Broxburn, West Lothian, after they agreed a fare of £600 upfront for the journey.
The trip would have cost about £860 one-way on the taxi meter.
Jet Black is one of London's most exclusive nightspots and regulars include include Hollywood bad girl Lindsay Lohan and playboy Calum Best.
Stokes, who signed for Celtic from Hibs in August, could not be reached last night.
But a source at Celtic told the Record: "We've all been there, where you're dead beat after a night out and just want nothing more than to get home to your own bed.
"Stokesy just decided he couldn't hang about any longer.
"And it's not as if he can't afford it. Everyone had a bit of a laugh about it but Stokesy had the last laugh when the rest of the boys were left hanging about in London waiting to get home."

A london cabbie giving a approx 30% discount. Do you have relations dahn souf skippy?

Yes in Plymouth :D

I also had a nice little earner 10 years ago
It was 2.30 AM on a Friday morning and I was just about to pack up for the night when a guy I know jumped in and as I knew where he lived it still come out where you going, he said Plymouth, I asked again thinking I had not heard him right and he repeated it , I said that I would have to fuel up before we left so headed for the all night garage, when paying for the fuel I had a quick look at the mileage chart inside a map cover and worked out the fare at around £450, I told him what it would be plus coffee and breakfast he paid up front left Gala at 3.00 AM and dropped off outside Plymouth Argyle's ground at 10.55 AM we where on a pound a mile back then and the meter was at £450.80.
I just continued down to Tavy house to my old mans and had a good sleep then set off back at around 8 PM
