Teen attacked driver after flagging down taxi Josh Fraser pled guilty on Tuesday to the assault on a taxi driver. A teenager who launched an unprovoked attack on a taxi driver was told by a sheriff he faces jail unless he deals with his "anger problems". Josh Fraser, 17, stood in the middle of a street and flagged down a taxi in Dundee. When the driver, David Menzies, approached him, the drunken teenager repeatedly punched him in the face. On Tuesday at Dundee Sheriff Court, Fraser, of Blackness Street, Dundee, admitted that on September 26 last year at Coupar Angus Road in Dundee he assaulted Mr Menzies by repeatedly punching his face to his injury. Depute fiscal Lisa Welsh told the court Mr Menzies was driving his taxi towards Dundee city centre at around 1.50am when he was forced to slow down because Mr Fraser was "on the road waving his arms". She added: "The taxi driver got out and asked him what he was doing. Mr Fraser walked up to him and punched him in his face and the driver pushed him back. "But then the driver realised his car was still moving and he went to stop it when Mr Fraser punched him in the face a further five or six times. "The complainer suffered cuts to his lip and swelling to his jaw and face as well as a twisted back. He attended Ninewells Hospital for treatment." Defending, Jim Caird admitted there was "no real explanation" for his client's actions, "other than he was drunk". He said: "This is a 17-year-old first offender who fully accepts his guilt and responsibility. "He expresses remorse at what happened and this appears to be an isolated incident." Sheriff Tom Hughes told Fraser: "This is totally unacceptable behaviour. You seem to have anger problems and you better sort them out soon or you'll end up in jail." He ordered Fraser to pay his victim £200 compensation and deferred sentence for six months for reports. http://news.stv.tv/scotland/tayside/221 ... down-taxi/ |

Was thinking that - perhaps this bozo was one of those people who stand in front of the car and won't let you move, so the driver eventually got out and had a word with him. But I never understand these people who stand in the middle of the road expecting you to stop - they're the last people I would want to pick up - but then I don't understand people anyway

Not so long ago i had some numpty stand in front of me with a shopping trolley above his head, scared the shecht out of me but i made the decision that he better move cause i aint stopping he did move but damaged the taxi by throwing the trolley. No matter what the Driver did or did not do the sentence is farcical. |

No matter what the Driver did or did not do the sentence is farcical. Isn't the blue hair and red nose the likeliest explanation for his aberrant behaviour?
