As of Friday, the council imposed a five per cent increase on the price of a taxi operator's licence. It now costs £366 while a taxi driver's licence has gone up to £235. This increase is valid for three years per vehicle.

A 5% rise which can only equate to around an £11.00 increase...thats hardly life threatening on a fleet of 6 vehicles or more over the course of a year.

What he Doesnt say is how much of a percentage his Tax drivers Licences have went by to make them £235. but £235 does not seem particularily harsh either...and no mention at all of how much his actual taxi vehicle licence is.....seems odd to me.

then they Admits to not charging full price, again that dont help the bank balance either..
