£42k f'ing pounds!!!!
I can see LTI making a massive comeback in London Taxi market domination if it keeps going up like this. They're outpricing themselves from mushers, even garages are going to be hard pushed to rent a new merc out for under £270 a week, and I know other areas of Britain charge that, but here in London you can rent a 05 TX2 for around £190 a week. Here's the Taxi Globe spread: http://www.taxiglobe.info/pdf/TG655_p10.pdf I'm liking my choice at the moment, but at that price it'll be back to an LTI cab next time. |

How much was your GBC?? The E7 already is euro 5 and does around 34 mpg urban, and you can buy 2 of them for the merc price, and I believe the RFL is also cheaper |

Spoke to another driver tonight whose VM engine seized on a 56 reg TX4. 1 year out of warranty, £4K in costs. Ouch. Perhaps £42K is a bargain after all? |

Perhaps £42K is a bargain after all? Don't they do an extended warranty GBC? |

Had a look at it and brief test drive at the Dock Rd tariff change. Impressive, would have to 'work' one. But the price would mean having to double team it. LTI/LTC always deny a change of engine, but in my view they have to do some thing about the fuel economy and that means dumping VM, by Euro 5 next year. |

Don't let Taylor see that double team quote, he'll be having babies.

Don't they do an extended warranty GBC? You can get one, I had one on my TX2 when I bought it, but they ain't cheap. Be nice if LTI sorted out a decent power unit opposed to the never ending line of crap they seem to fit. There's G reg LTI fairway's still going strong on the original Nissan engine! |
