I regularly travel in to and from Manchester Airport. I am extremely pleased to hear that there will be a new firm of taxis operating from Manchester Airport (Arrow Cars) The Black Cab drivers from this airport that i Have used in the past dont seem to know where they are going , overcharge and cant even speak the english language, and as far as their dress code is concerned i can only describe this as a total embarrasment. I hear that this new firm will be operating brand new vehicles and smartly dressed drivers (in uniforms). from 1st May. I dont expect much from a taxi driver, just a normal person that can speak english, drive the right way, and not rip me off. Oh and preferably not wearing their pijamas and sandals, just a normal shirt , trousers and shoes would do. I think once this new firm gets established they will be taking over totally from the Black Cabs, just like the seem to have done at Leeds Bradford and East Midlands Airport. |

You think the black cabs overcharge? Wait until you see the Arrow prices. |

I dont mind paying for a good service, I mind alot about paying anything at all for a very poor service. I m not getting in any other black cab again and if arrow car drivers wear pijamas for their uniform i wont be using them either but im sure they wont. if arrow are spending 700k on vehicles im sure they mean business. |

Arrow a good service? What a joke. You'll pay ridiculous prices for the exact same service, if not worse service. Arrow are slowly getting pushed out of LBA. Punters have realised the con, are ringing local firms now and waiting five extra minutes at the lay-by next to the arrow cars. They're even starting to fall asleep !
Rumour is going round as well of an 18 space Rank opening on White house lane at LBA as well! |

Blah, blah, blah, blah, a bit more blah and Arrow propaganda, blah, blah, waffle, blah, 97 hours a week taking it's toll, blah, blah . . . I think once this new firm gets established they will be taking over totally from the Black Cabs, just like the seem to have done at Leeds Bradford and East Midlands Airport. Do you like working for this PH firm? I thought slavery was abolished many decades ago? Funny, but a scab operator in London said that about us over 20 years ago, and he still has to raid Romanian orphanages for drivers, who then have to work double the hours I do for the same money. Enjoy your next fare.

I dont think you guys posting on here have got my message, its not the price im really bothered about is the quality of the service, i expect to be at least driven the right way and not deliberately ripped off, the manchester airport black cab drivers look to me like they are more appropriately dressed to ride a camel rateher than a taxi. |

Mate, mate, mate I'm going to wee on your chips here, Arrow Cars at East Midlands Airport charge much more than the local Hackneys. It's the same at LBA (Leeds Bradford) and so on. |

Exactly, on our meter from LBA to Leeds centre it's about £13.50 (Private Hire). I think Hackney clocks about £15. But I'm not sure. £22.75 with Arrow, and the only difference is that they are one lay-by nearer to terminal... |
