Walsall cabbie let uninsured woman drive his vehicle

A Walsall taxi [sic] driver who let an uninsured motorist drive his vehicle has been banned from driving for 12 months.
Mumtaz Hussain, of Charlotte Street, was convicted by Walsall magistrates of permitting uninsured Saadia Rehman, of Arundel Street, Walsall to drive a private hire vehicle.
Hussain was fined £200 and ordered to pay £235 costs plus a £15 victim surcharge, and was endorsed with six points which meant he was disqualified from the roads under the totting-up procedure for a year.
The taxi had set off a speed camera whilst Miss Rehman was driving and West Midlands Police reported the duo to Walsall Council’s licensing enforcement team.
Miss Rehman was fined £262 for driving a private hire vehicle without a private hire driver’s licence and £525 for driving without insurance.
She was also ordered to pay £235 costs and the £15 victim surcharge.
