I have read a post on Travis Bickles site and I will post it below, it is by Stu and I hope other guys on the List that TB posted make their comments. At the time I recall that property prices were rising at £113.00 per week and taxi licences in Edinburgh had been increasing at about £85.00-£90.00 per week, so anyone starting out with a mind to buy a house and a taxi licence had to find £200.00 per week just to stand still, this we were assured was proof positive of just how successful a City Edinburgh was! until it all fell apart. So it really is all fur coats and nae knickers now eh. The point here Alan is that no citizen should be held accountable for their lack of perspicacity, the buck stops with them not us. Personally speaking I've had enough of this attempt to rebuild Edinburgh from sub soil level upwards, everything takes far longer than is reasonable, another nine months of mayhem in our town centre, nine months! perhaps they have borrowed the scottish Gas networks teaspoons, you know the ones they use to dig up our streets with. The court case may have been about Kenny Donalds application but some of the points the Sheriff dealt with must have ramifications for the whole system, it doesn't necessarily spell the end of current set up for those intent on carrying on with it but they need to get this sorted out, we are all wounded by this system one way or the other, how hard can it be? Liberty,Equality, Fraternity, Their having a laugh surely. I especially like the attitude that you are only something or someone to be tolerated by some of these self important higher species type, you need to have your life and business macro managed by some halfwit pathocrat and therefore perpetuate their longest mugging in history business model. Na., don't think I'll bother thanks, £100k to other people for? Well nothing you couldn't have acheived yourself if you think about it That's £200.00 per week for every week that I've been in this trade. If ever there was a time to listen to yourself rather than others then this is it, there is something unedifying about this whole saga, the spectacle of grown adults grovelling to their erstwhile masters in the city Chambers for what they say is rightfully theirs, often whilst conversley trying to deny others the same opportunity. The reasonings all wrong here, the constant non causa pro causa debates are boring and stale now, especially those of our very own master of ipsedixitisms . Quite what your emphasis on posting the list of applicants is about who knows, are we meant to be worried about it or make some sort of discovery hitherto unknown, it's of no consequence because it was done at the time and was public knowledge at the time, do you think we should live our lives in secret or something, your point is? Now I also have to ask the question, WHY, is Travis [edited by admin] off that applicants that went through the correct process, paid out money for a licence and were rejected in favour of an illegal list used by the council (as was proved by the Judgement) does he now want some kind of sick revenge by some idiot that reads his post? What is the purpose of your Post Travis? Who is it for? What do you expect to gain from it? As an administrator of a public website you are expected to adhere to the the principles of fairness and neutrality but all you are doing is fanning the flames for others. As Stu quite rightly said, are people on this list expected to be worried? why don't you come on here and post your reasoning behind it, but please do not respond by stating that people asked for it, you could have easily PM'd the list to people that asked you for it. It is an excuse to say that this list is Public Knowledge, where is this list posted in the City Chambers?, where is this list on CEC's web site? Let me just say that if anybody is worried at all about their personal details being posted then please do not hesitate to contact L&B's finest as I am sure they might have something to say to the bold Travis Travis I await your reasoning behind posting the list |
