Looks Like ARROW will be next private hire firm in York when they apply for York Station. It looks on the cards that they will get all the East Coast Stations just like they have taken the airports.

There will be no need for any new plates then as there will be an extra 100 taxis on the City center ranks

Arrow have already been in touch with York private hire firms

I don't know the geography of York Station, but I doubt it will comply with the law if PH are ranking up there.

Not that I have anything against the PH trade doing that kind of work, it's just I believe the law don't allow it.

The trouble is with these firms they get too big, the directors run off with all the cash (Fraser Eagle) and everyone is left owed money.

not only Arrow,
but Yorks own 659 private hire company are beefing up, it is said that there are 80 applications for new private hire drivers going through Council process, 659 taxis want them,
in the meantime the owner of 659 taxis private hire company, [he was just a rental driver started 7 years ago] goes ahead with the rebuild of a 12 bedroom house in the Stocton Lane area of the city,
[after paying off his ganbling debt,]
most of his drivers are complaining of only getting 10 jobs a shift, 6 were sacked for arguring and fighting, as night drivers come out for free air, as do day drivers come out for free air night time

the Station contract is their goal
some drivers say no it wont happen, it cant happen, whatch this space, it will happen

Get a 'Pay per visit' barriers system put in for all Hackneys and it's far less likely to happen.
