Knowsley taxi drivers appear in court on child abduction charges


TWO cab drivers are set to stand trial charged with child abduction.

Phillip Naylor, 30, of Douglas Way, Kirkby, and George Sealey, 58, of Deva Close, Kirkby, appeared before Knowsley Magistrates yesterday. In the short hearing where they were supported by fellow taxi drivers, both men were told their case would be heard in Liverpool Crown Court and were bailed to appear on September 30.

They are each accused of two counts of abducting a 16-year-old and a 13-year-old on February 8.

Both men deny the charges
