Can anyone confirm Edinburgh taxis/phc now able to fit cctv?

probably always have been allowed, its just no one has asked for approval of any system methinks because of the price.

The problem is who should police to the footage, does the cab office want the extra work, yes if the funding is there but who pay's, the trade decides on that and what system, what price of system, a universal system or multi systems based on owners willingness to invest and protect. Lots of pro's on using CCTV not many cons but the big one is who should handle and have access to the data etc :-k

your masters at the cab office is the answer your looking for. :oops:

personally i wouldn't bother

as with all things taxi you get screwed, the systems are far to expensive

you could put one together for a fraction of what they are asking for so called commercial units
