Man in court on kidnap charge

A Warrington man appeared in court today accused of kidnap with intent to commit a sexual offence against a young woman following an incident at Sankey Valley Park late last Friday night.
Graham Williams, 41, from Greenings Court in Warrington, is charged with kidnap and kidnap with intent to commit a sexual offence.
The incident took place in the vicinity of Sankey Valley Park just before midnight on Friday October 14. The victim, who is a 21 year old local woman, is now being offered support by specialist officers.
Williams appeared at Halton Magistrates today and was remanded until November 7.

The victim, who is a 21 year old local woman, claims she was driven to the park by a taxi driver against her will before being taken home, and is now being offered support by specialist officers.
Williams will appear at Halton Magistrates at 9.30am today, Monday 17th October.
