Appeal after Bridgend taxi passenger falls from vehicle

A taxi passenger is in hospital with a serious head injury after falling from the vehicle on a road near Bridgend.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the incident, which happened on the A4061 between Bryncethin and the M4 at 00:50 GMT on Sunday.

The 35-year-old injured man fell from a black Fiat Ducato taxi near the roundabout for junction 36 of the motorway.

He is being treated at the Princess of Wales hospital.

South Wales Police have asked for any witnesses to the incident or anyone who saw the movements of the taxi immediately beforehand to contact the roads policing unit by calling 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
