If you are looking to buy yourself a job, I would wait until the end of next year. I get the feeling plate “values” are only heading in one direction. http://www.petertrainer.co.uk/ http://www.petertrainer.co.uk/node/120 £25,000 - £26,000

Like you said 2 years ago & 2 years ago before that? And before that as well?!?! The economic bubble is, burst. Plates have lost half their “value” from their highest point a couple of years ago. Ph, are running amok, increasing their grip on Edinburgh and the surrounding areas, while the taxi trade loses its numerical presence in the market. Its ability to compete and its customer base. What don't you get, there is no upside? Your trade is fu*ked, and it's only going to get worse? If you go on to fasties, and check into their archives, you will see that all this was predicted as far back as 2008, look for a thread I started called, The Perfect Storm. This was never just about de-restriction. Only spineless stupid idiots like you think that. Now you answer my question, what do you think you are defending

The question shouldn't be what am I defending, as I'm not The question should be what are you constantly attacking You don't work in the taxi trade anymore, you venomously attack it at every possible chance, have zero respect to or from anyone else that works in or from the taxi trade! |

You think by stating the obvious. I am attacking the taxi trade. You are having a laugh. You are not that important. The fact is, if anyone is looking forward to buying a job working in a low-paid industry, they should wait until plate “values” hit rock bottom, and I'm betting that's in about a year's time. As for my participation on this forum, I comment on many issues, and not just the Edinburgh Taxi Trade. Now answer the question, what do you think you are defending :?: |

Longshanks, I bet you have no idea why you feel the need to defend your precious trade, You are like a taxi driver groupie. You'll latch on to anything just to feel a part of something. You've never had an original thought in your head. You simply think that by repeating the [edited by admin] you've heard from these other muppets, it makes you one of them, which for all intents and purposes, is probably true.

In other words whatever scam arrangement they've concocted to avoid handing the plate back in and thus facilitating the sale in the first place. |

Well, that clears that up, it's good for a laugh though "Taxi licence protection."
