Woman raped on 'taxi' ride home A woman was raped on her way home after a night out in Newcastle. The 45-year-old woman had been standing alone in a taxi queue outside the city's Gate complex early on 9 April. She got into the front seat of what is believed to be a new model Fiat Doblo and was taken to the rear of TJ Taxis, Scarborough Court, Walker, and raped. The attacker is described as Asian or black, aged in his late 20s or early 30s, 5ft 5ins tall, of normal build and with a fuzzy beard. Before getting into the taxi at around 0200 BST, a man who the woman knew was helping her get a taxi and they spoke to the driver of another car which then drove off. Detectives want to speak to anyone who was in the taxi queue at the time and are trying to trace the two taxi drivers. |

This guy shouldn't be hard to find, there can't be many Asian Geordies driving Doblo's who fit that description. I'm glad it said TJ taxis and not JD taxis lol Or Even Mr T taxis. Just goes to show you get good and bad in all sections of this Trade. Regards Jd |

Funny, that seems to be the same firm that took on the 'hardened and calculating career criminal' last year that we featured in an article: http://www.taxi-driver.co.uk/criminal.htm Most probably not that lad though, the description is way out. Funny place to rape someone though, and given the description he shouldn't be hard to find, as JD says. Strange. |

Strange that Greenbadgecabby didn't mention this story when tarring all LPH drivers.
Still at least the PCO will allow us to use E7s.

Still at least the PCO will allow us to use E7s. ![]() Whats Newcastle got to do with the London Taxi trade, and the London Minicab drivers who continue, even after Licensing to commit sexual assaults on their passengers? I don't 'tar' all private hire drivers, because 99% of PH throughout GB are licensed in the same way as Taxi's, its just some London Minicab companys and drivers have very very short term memory retetion problems.

To suggest that any trade or form of Job from lawyer to politician or black cab driver has never commited a crime is just Purile but to tar all because of the 0.1% is a mistake . Im afraid thats just life and people |

And 99.9 % of illegal Touts and criminals are those that are more likley to be commiting sexual offences . So does your figure above include the HUNDREDS of LICENSED Minicabs I witness on a nightly basis parked up in Charing Cross Road, Camden High Street, New Cross Road, in fact any road in London, with their drivers openly plying for hire to passers by. May-be even the two Addison-Lee drivers at 3.20AM parked up outside the Dominion who asked me if I wanted a 'taxi' last night (As I was going to pick up a tea), so 99.9% are respectable citizens? (god knows what country) Just remember, respectability does'nt come at the stroke of a pen my minicabbing friend. |

I note you have used the LTDA poster as your front page. One hopes you have permission from the LTDA to do so, remember all the minicab sites that advertised themselves as taxis? As blobby says the www is no hiding place when it comes to legal action. Anyway i've e-mailed john Thomas at the LTDA the details, so watch this space.

Well then take their details and report them. The problem is as bad as it is because people talk the talk, but leave it at that.

The PCO has no system in place for minicabs (unbelievable) they tell you to contact the Metropolitan Police, they in turn tell you its not a priority . . . . maybe i'll contact John Griffen at Addison Lee, that will get the ball rolling . . . . . . oops its these soggy cornflakes again. |
