http://www.thecourier.co.uk/News/Dundee ... undee.html The council is keen to get more to walk or cycle to improve public health and reduce harm to the environment. So why licence 10 to 20 vehicles per month that orbit the Town Centre looking for a rank space/hire whilst polluting the air and, issue badges at the same rate to enable every PH/Taxi to do so ?? |

why spend £170,000 to get folk walking? why not remove all the bus subsidies and make em walk...that would have the same effect but save money instead...typical Asswipe health freak Councillors who just love to look green and healthy in order to get the trendy treehuggers vote |

Because it is their right to operate their own taxi. They are trained to do so, and they want to make the investment. You see, they don't care a toss about you and your ludicrous attempt to deny folks their basic rights. Why the h*ll should you be the privileged one? What decides you have a superior right to anyone else? And, if they manage to make their living, which you would deny them, then they do it because you aint doing your job. You're not providing the service the customers wants. Now go crawl onto a taxi rank and insert your vested interest up your exhaust. |

I gave my plate back to DCC (who are the legal owners) a year ago...SO !!! what vested interests have i got apart from a dwindling driver's wage ??? Get aff the soapbox
