Ive a feeling they soon will even if they havent yet, takings may be down....

Quote:
A bar is being boycotted after refusing to serve family and friends of a soldier before his funeral because they were wearing their military uniforms.

Matthew Thacker and colleagues of his brother Corporal Michael Thacker were refused entry to the Browns bar in Jordan Well, Coventry. Mr Thacker was with a number of his brother's colleagues who were to act as pall-bearers during the service at the city's cathedral on Monday.

Hundreds attended the service for Cpl Thacker, who was killed on duty in Afghanistan earlier this month. Now nearly 50,000 have joined a Facebook group calling for a boycott of the Browns bar this Saturday, which is Armed Forces Day.

Those who have set up the page on the social networking website wrote: "The family have requested that no protest action should be taken, it is Armed Forces Day this Saturday and would be grateful to simply boycott Browns, ignore the place entirely and celebrate the job every military personnel are doing for this country day in day out!

Hmmm, I had this a few years ago, I was outside having a puff when 8 Royal Marines rolled up in full dress after the funeral of one of theirs that had fallen in Afghanistan, all got refused and when I spoke for them I was told shut up or you'll be going as well,

Now this is a perfect example of why I don't care much for the population of the UK anymore, recently I put a memorial thread up for the Falklands HEROES! and got one answer here and still no replies to the other two I posted elsewhere, which says to me people dgaf, they wave the flag on the day and then forget tomorrow, those that were there can never forget, nor will they and the thanks they must notice that doesn't come must make a person feel why did I bother anyway, in the case of the Falklands the thanks comes from the Islanders, they haven't forgot and nor will they,

Although it pains me to say, I don't care about anyone whose A family or B close friend anymore, I watch the self serving attitude of glass jawed idiots who think they are all that, cheap sluts who think every man wants them,

The land is still great, sadly what treads it isn't in a lot of cases, as they say, when it's gone it's gone! and it ain't far away from where I'm standing, folks from the armed forces should have the same respect as people like paramedics and firefighters, although when you think about it they don't get much respect either do they, be thankful there are still folks like these around, because if it was me I'd save my urine if I saw a fire,

Still as long as Mr UK has a widescreen tv, a car and a line of coke everything is alright isn't it :doubt:

Can you imagine if 6 Asians had been refused....

The Asians that might complain don't drink you Wally and if they did complain then the brothers would be asking why were they trying to buy drinks in a pub, so they wouldn't complaiin would they.

On the other hand, those Asians whose religion does not prohibit alcohol are usually seasoned drinker themselves and would be unlikely to be refused in a pub.

I don't mind being quoted, but can you quote what I said rather than someone elses reply next time, and ftr I don't really see where Asians come into this, the real issue is 5hity businesses up their own jackhammers treating those that fight for them like a lump o' sh1te as usual, if it had been my place I would've thrown everyone else out and had them in instead, or another way of putting it is let us have this room please, and before anyone says they don't fight for them, if you own a car they do fight for you.
