Street star on drink-driving charge

Coronation Street bosses ruled out suggestions that actor Simon Gregson would be axed after he was charged with drink-driving.

The soap star, who plays taxi firm boss Steve McDonald, was stopped by traffic police while driving his Jaguar through Prestbury, Cheshire.

The 31-year-old was breathalysed and arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.

How bloody sad is that? Anyway, if he has had the bag in real life that should not affect his "fit and proper " status in the show, especially as Les Battersby is portrayed as a "driver" after serving a recent prison sentence for assaulting a Police Officer.(in the show) Must dash, I taped Emmerdale Farm earlier and it is the only fresh air I get !!!!!

He must have hired Kearns and co :D

The nearest thing to a soap issue worth discussing on here was in Brookside when Mike Dicko was was working as a PH driver in Liverpool.

When he was strapped for cash (as he always was after marrying Rach) he stopped to pick up a flagger and it was an LO

It's a pity Brookside was axed, because I'm sure it would have gotten on to plate premiums and significant unmet demand by now :D
