Im just waiting for my licence to arrive from South Lanarkshire Council (Private Hire).....Im new to this line of work but I have a full clean licence,aged 50,non smoker.
I have taken early retirement and hope to work in East Kilbride where I have lived most of my days...Any owners looking for an honest,reliable and punctual new start pls contact me with your terms etc and I will get back to you as soon as possible......thanks

I think you would be better off approaching the local firms, or talking to the lads on the ranks.

May be, but when I was in a similar position I was grateful for the good advice given via this site, Nidge I owe you a pint.

There may well be someone from the East Kilbride area that could advise who the best firms are to approach, I was pointed in the right direction and later appreciated not going to other firms after becoming a little wiser.

Thanks to all who have replied to the above I will take the benefit of your advice...I did hope to post this originally in the Scottish Section as Toots suggested but this forum seems locked and I was unable to add to it......Very odd I thought............Ive now sorted this out...son aged 15 has shown me where I was going wrong.....us old farts shoudnt be allowed near computers ....EVER
