Taxi driver stable in hospital aftern Amondbury knife attack A TAXI driver is in hospital after he was stabbed in the face during a terrifying attack. The driver, who was in his 40s, suffered facial injuries in the ordeal on Wednesday night in Farfield Road, Almondbury. The attack happened after the driver was approached by a man and a verbal dispute broke out. He was then injured with what police have described as a “knife style” object before the attacker fled on foot. He was taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary. A police spokesman said: “Police are appealing for witnesses following an attack on a taxi driver on the evening of Wednesday, July 11. “The incident happened on Farfield Road when the driver, a man in his 40s, attended to pick up a fare. “The victim suffered facial injuries and was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.” The suspect is in his early 20s, and is believed to have dark skin. He is around 5ft tall, of skinny build and was unshaven. He wore dark clothes. Anyone with any information should contact Huddersfield CID on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. I don't know the full stats about the other dangerous occupations, but it would be interesting to see if those occupations have had as many of their kind killed by their customers.
