To ask the Secretary of State for Transport when she expects to implement section 165 of the Equality Act 2010 in relation to taxis and mini-cab drivers.

The Government has in place a rigorous approval system for considering the implications of any new regulation which it introduces. We have been considering the case for commencing section 165 in the context of that approvals process, and I intend to make an announcement about section 165 in the near future.
