At least he doesn't mind taking part in stupid publicity stunts I doubt Ken would have tried the zip wire and lets face it it's nice to have a politician who is a colourful character even if you don't like his politics at least you can have a good laugh at his antics |

Have to agree with Terry on this one ( ) London got the Tory clown because people would rather sit on their arses watching Tricia than make the effort to vote.My own choice this time round would have been Ken, I think he learned lots from his last defeat, and I'm confident the games lanes would all be open by now, opposed to laying virtualy empty whilst the rest of London sits in traffic as the rich and hangers on fly by in BMW's driven by unlicensed drivers. |

I don't think that the lanes would have been open at all, regardless of who the Mayor was. It was part of the process that these lanes were put in place just for Olympic traffic. Anyway, according to other posts, London is a ghost town at the moment so what traffic are you sitting in? Is it one of those futile protests? |

Anyway, according to other posts, London is a ghost town at the moment so what traffic are you sitting in? Is it one of those futile protests? Why? Show me where in the Olympic bid does it say taxis should be excluded? I'll save you the bother, the answer is no where, it simply requires priority lanes to be provided. Other cities such as Sydney included taxis. Livingstone would have tried (which is more than Johnstone has) to include taxis. The lanes are being ignored by thousands, most of them are unenforcable because of unapproved signage, confusing non approved signage, and conflicting information from matrix signs, and several around Marylebone, Westminster and Chelsea are being removed as they simply are not being used. I've used several, and haven't even had the standard 'please keep out' letter that some have had. Londons night time economy is far from a ghost town at the moment, in fact thats me until friday next week . . . Thank you Olympic athletics.

How unusual, a newspaper acting like a 12 year old cretin. |
