Cab passenger is arrested

4:41pm Thursday 26th July 2012

The passenger of a mini-cab was arrested after it crashed into the central reservation on a busy main road late at night.

A blue Peugeot 307, operated by V Cars, was in collision with the central reservation in Cricklade Road, close to Co-operative Funeralcare at around 11.20pm on Saturday, July 14.

Neither the 45-year-old driver nor the 31-year-old front-seat male passenger was injured, although the driver was shaken. The passenger, from Swindon, was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage, tampering with a motor vehicle and making off without payment. He was released on police bail pending further enquiries.

I bet a quid on him getting no more than between 80 and 150 hours of community service which he'll seldom attend and a £300 fine he won't pay and a £15 victim surcharge which he won't pay either.

We have gone feckin soft on Vermin control these days.

As I said in the other post, if you don't pay court fines you go to prison.
