I've just changed the name on the vehicle licence. One form and two signatures, no more than three minutes work = £50 !!!

hi i have been chasing Thurrock council with ref to our elevated rates for a yearly badge (£150) and have had a reply from the external auditor today saying thurrock are within their rights to charge what they consider reasonable under section 53(2) of the lgmpa 1976 i know this isn't the case and want any and all advice what we should do now because they are not prepared to take this any further regards jogra4 |

Unless you have the true and actual profit and loss account how can you or your colleagues come to to a proper view? Ask for the full profit and loss accounts for the last three years, and that should include every penny received from the taxi/PH trade, and every penny spent and for what. Ask via a FoI request. TBH I wouldn't take a blind bit of notice from the council's auditors, if you are not happy ask the District Auditor to investigate. |
