Man jumps taxi queue and headbutts bystander in Torquay

Police in the Torbay Area are calling for witnesses to two incidents that took place during the night between Saturday and Sunday, one of which involves a man jumping the line for a taxi before head butting a bystander .

The incident took place at the taxi rank by Mambo in Torquay at 3am on Sunday morning. A man wearing a grey suit pushed into the queue for the taxis. Another man in the queue pointed this out, which led the man in the grey suit to head but him.

At around 2.30am on Sunday, a man was seriously assaulted and left with what is thought to be a fractured skull in the Bohemia Nightclub in Torquay. He was taken to hospital and police are calling for witnesses to the attack.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed either of the two incidences to call 101. When calling with information they should give the reference number FT/12/8828 for the case regarding the incident at Mambo and reference number FT/12/8827 for the incident that took place in the Bohemia Nightclub.

Members of the public with information about either incidence can alternatively contact crime stoppers.
