If all customers were like this? **************************************************** Taxi thanks A PENSIONER who has used the same cab firm for ten years has offered staff six bottles of wine as a thank you for their help over the last decade. Beatrice Hayes, who lives on the Ninefields Estate, Waltham Abbey, has praised C hingford Radio Cars for its service. Mrs Hayes, who suffers from asthma, uses the Hall Lane firm four or five times a week to help with everything from shopping to going to the dentist and visiting her family. She said: "They've been excellent, every one of them. I had a little win on the Lottery recently and I bought them some wine. I wanted to do something to show my appreciation. "Every Saturday they pick me up, and then my grandson so he can come shopping with me. Then they take me to my daughter's house in Chingford. Whenever I have to go anywhere they're ever so kind to me. We always have a chat, and I feel very safe with them." Office manager Steve Trotman said he was taken aback by Mrs Hayes' gesture, but delighted to hear she was happy with the service. He said: "It's always nice to get positive feedback. It's nice to hear people are satisfied, we always try to do our best for customers. We're very grateful for Mrs Hayes' kind words, she's a regular customer and a very nice lady." Mrs Hayes said: "I've used other firms before, but none has been as good as them. They run me everywhere, and are very trustworthy." |

A truly heart-warming tale which speaks volumes for the office, (whether HC or PH), its staff, its drivers and above all else, a truly happy and loyal customer. Absolutely marvellous.
A few years ago I ended up living alone in a rented flat with only my car, clothes and a few meagre possessions. An elderly lady customer said I should have a plant to cheer me up. I dropped her off and thought nothing more about it. About a fortnight later one of the lads came into the office with a potted plant which the lady had given him for me. Seven years, two houses and four offices later it is still on my kitchen window sill and every time I see the lady she asks about the plant. There are lots of lovely people out there and it should be a pleasure for us to look after them.

99 percent of punters are okay about 12 percent on my reckoning are brill and know what we are all about working christmas and new year for what , in dundee it was 1 pound extra, christmas night i did 28 jobs in nine hours but i still made a fortune down to tips one customer even used a rival firm to get to my house to deliver a christmas card without me knowing, its a pity that the measly 1 percent manage to embend their actions into our memories for months after their activities that end up spoiling it for all, a database naming all these individuals between companies could only improve the trade ,every taxi driver should look at the passenger in their cabs at this time of year and think how long have they sat and waited for you because they would feel guilty phoning someone else ,a lot of customers refer to us as my taxi driver the more solidated this relationship the better for all,get rid of the abusers (customers and rip off cabbies every office has them and things will get better)happy new year to all.... |

Still like most things, if the customer or the driver doesn't like the firm, then they can simply go elsewhere.

It's amazing that Deans have such a big fleet if they are so bad. Your mate's experience must have been a one-off. |

If the problem is the quality of new drivers, then the fault lies with the council.

well i wonder what view the council will take to my mate being told after she had booked a Dean taxi to pick her up at a certain time and the driver failed to turn up, she then rang them and said could you tell the driver to hurry please i have to wait outside (pub was closed) The desk clerk then told her to "put a f***** coat on then" to which she replied " if your driver had turned up on time i wouldnt be standing out here freezing" Eventually the driver turned up and drove like an idiot, going through two reds!!!! Hardly the image of a good ph firm, personally i blame their boss lol |

Sounds like Mr Pollard is back. According to folklore that company records all its calls. Why ask to here it? |

And what do you mean by "sounds like mr pollard is back"?? |

I think he must mean that there's only one person who has made a career out of slagging off Dean's, posting on taxi forums, and under various identities to boot. And didn't Mr Pollard have to retract allegations he made about Dean's on another forum after threats to sue him for defamation? Do you know him, by any chance? |

Rather suspicious you saying you don't know him. The experiance I've had with Gateshead is that everyone has heard of him, for good or for bad. So saying you don't know him raises more suspicion than if you had said you did know him. JD |
