I find this a little at odds with the purpose of the CRB after all it is a confidential document not something that is openly published

That may be so, but the test case relates to a chap who received a police caution aged eleven. Should that show up on his CRB for the rest of his life, as it does at present?

What's the point of CRB checks when half the industry is recruited direct from countries where mass genocide was common place ?

CRB should be obtained from the country they come from in the first place no CRB no stay then the bad people would not be welcome in the first place, and then sent packing. at least it would be a more helpful when applying for a job where a CRB is needed.

I sort of agree with the above, but what about people who have fled persecution from their governments?

Would those Asians booted out of Uganda get a good reference from the country of their births?

Best they sort their own persecuting governments out just as we here had to do over several centuries, otherwise their fellow countrymen will never be free of such persecution ever..

Maybe we should have done that during the war and not let all those jews into the UK who fled persecution and made them stay and reason with those Nazis, unless those Nazis gave them a nice reference that is. ](*,)
