Man dodged £50 taxi fare - CCTV appeal
POLICE are trying to trace a man who dodged a £50 taxi fare in Leominster. CCTV images have been released of a man police wish to speak to in connection with the incident, which happened at around 2.30am on January 13.
The passenger, who is described as white, of slim build and smart in appearance with brown hair and wearing a blue top, was picked up from Hereford city centre and asked to go to Leominster. The driver dropped the man outside a bank on West Street but instead of returning to pay the fare the man left the area.
PC Stefan Hawes from Leominster police station said: "Through CCTV inquiries, we have identified a man who we are keen to trace in connection with this incident. "I would urge this man to call us himself so that we can find out what he knows about the offence and would appeal to anyone who knows his name to contact us with the details."
