Ex-limousine Operator in court charged with five sex offences


A previous limo business owner has been registered as a sex offender and given an 18 month suspended prison sentence after a court hearing last Friday (8th March 2013).

52 year-old Askam Nouri, known in the industry as ‘Sammie’ admitted five charges of indecently assaulting girls under the age of 16. All the offences took place between 1998 and 2004 the court heard.

Nouri, a previous owner of GB Limos based in Eaton Bray, Leighton Buzzard was also banned from ever being alone with any girl under the age of 16 years. The victims (two females now in their early 20′s) were in court to hear the verdicts.

The court also heard of a previous conviction of voyeurism. He was convicted of mounting a spy camera in the changing room of a sun bed business he once shared with his former partner.

The judge after deciding not to send Nouri to prison turned to the girls and said he was sorry that Nouri was not imprisoned, but the sentence he granted made sure Nouri was going to be closely monitored during the coming ten years.
