Illegal Plying

ZAFFAR Iqbal, 58, of Chadwick Road, Bobbersmill, has been disqualified from driving for six months for driving without insurance.

Iqbal denied committing the offence in Lower Parliament Street, Nottingham, on March 24 last year.

Iqbal was also fined £125 and found guilty of plying for hire without a public hackney carriage licence, also in Lower Parliament Street on March 24, which he denied. He was fined £125 and ordered to pay £150 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.

Minicab driver Wayne Anthony Gibbs, 46, denies picking up non-booked fare in Swansea


A SWANSEA minicab driver has denied picking up a non-booked fare in his taxi.

Wayne Anthony Gibbs, 46, is accused of breaching his licence conditions and therefore not having valid insurance after picking up a customer in Christina Street.

Matters at Swansea Magistrates Court against Gibbs, of Brynsifi Way, Mount Pleasant were adjourned for trial on Wednesday, May 8.
